Web Physics

Here you will find resources that will not only be helpful toward your understanding of the coursework, but will also be interesting and entertaining.

Physics 6 students in past years have been using a textbook by Douglas Giancoli (Physics with Applications, Fifth Edition) which has a very good website containing many features useful to current students: http://www.prenhall.com/giancoli. Most of this site's features are still relevant in the present course.

But Physics 3 students will also be able to take advantage of this useful site for studying the basic ideas. There are many interactive examples. For example, try out these physics "Physlets Problems" (from chapter 11 of Giancoli).

You can help find other contributions to this webpage. If you know of any sites that you think might be interesting and helpful, please e-mail me.

Here is something that I am now working on which runs on your installation of Excel:  Excel Graphs

One last thing: What's that weird object on my main page? It just might have some connection to physics - it certainly is mathematical, as you can learn online.
